FAQ

How can I arrange for personalized assistance before my flight?

We recommend contacting your airline’s accessibility desk at least 48 hours prior to departure. This ensures that ground staff are prepared to provide tailored support, from check-in through to the aircraft door.

Are there specific resources for travelers with hidden disabilities?

Many airports now participate in the Sunflower Lanyard scheme, which discretely signals to staff that you may require extra time, clearer instructions, or access to sensory-friendly spaces during your transit.

Can I remain in my personal mobility device until I reach the aircraft?

Generally, yes. Most airlines allow you to gate-check your wheelchair. You can stay in your own device until you reach the aircraft door, where it will be stored safely for your use immediately upon arrival.

What support is available for navigating security and screening?

Airports provide specialized screening lanes for travelers with disabilities. Staff are trained to assist with mobility aids and medical equipment, ensuring a respectful and efficient security experience.

How does AllissasIdea collaborate with airports to foster inclusivity?

We engage in direct collaboration with terminal management to consult on tactile navigation, simplified signage, and the implementation of quiet zones, making air travel more accessible for everyone.
